Forum How do I...?

embed audio or video

I want to click on the speaker icon and listen to /lexeme/ spoken.

Now it says that it is linking to external source and do you really want to allow this. Also then Firefox says it doesn't know what to do with .WAV file.

I can change file to whatever format is needed to work.

I want to embed the files so there are no external links. I want the whole dictionary to be a self contained PDF.

Acrobat 7 says you can embed sound and movies into PDF.

How do I do it in Prince?

PS The color is for debugging my CSS.

Prince doesn't support embedding sound or video files yet, perhaps we could add this in the future.

I'm on a project now where the client wants me to embed video in a page. Are you saying it isn't possible? I guess I fee like it _can_ be done in PDF, so there should be some way for me to pass in whatever instructions the PDF needs... though obviously I don't understand the first thing about how it works.

Any thoughts on workarounds would be helpful. I prefer to use Prince... great software.

Thanks again for the good work,

It is number #5 on the roadmap after release of 8.1. So it isn't there yet but will be. Maybe it will move up the list some with your request also.
