Off topic, why does the last paragraph not render in my

How can I get Prince to use the fonts embedded in this SVG
with an embedded object?
What's the deal with the top and bottom margins on this image?
Prince seems to make this image square even though the height tag
suggests is't half as tall as it is high.
Prince loads the Google CSS file but then doesn't load any of
the fonts linked from there. Why?
Remember, the spectrum service is separate from the app that
generates the report. Although I control them both, the spectrum
service has other clients whose needs must be handled. So if this
doesn't work I can't just change around the way spectrum are
rendered just for this one use case. I guess I'll have to go to a
gif fallback... if that works.

As an image, which seems to work at least in part in the PDF
Preferred: object tag
As an object, which would be better for me because then I could more easily manipulate it in HTML via javascript, which means I can continue to have one set of code for PDF and HTML report.
