Forum How do I...?

How do I uninstall Prince 7.2?

richard.karpinski
Decided to try 8.0 beta. Installed it, but running

at the command prompt on MAC Snow Leopard
>prince --version
continues to produce
prince: /usr/local/lib/prince/license/license.dat: warning: inapplicable license
Prince 7.2 (8.0 beta 1)
Copyright 2002-2011 YesLogic Pty. Ltd.
No license

Does this mean I have to uninstall 7.2, or is there some other problem.

Thanks for your help.

It probably means your existing license for Prince only includes upgrades up to 7.1, and not 8.0. You will need to purchase additional support to use more recent versions of Prince.

I'm afraid--as a hobbyist individual--I don't have a paid license. I didn't realize the beta was for paid customers only.

So, I guess my question has to be altered. How do I uninstall the 8.0 beta?

Thanks.

You can still try it out, you'll just get a blue P logo in the corner of generated PDF files. :)

If you want to uninstall it, you can delete /usr/local/lib/prince and /usr/local/bin/prince.
