We have text within SVG content which uses MS Mincho font which does not support bold and italic. When bold or italic is applied, the generated PDF does not not have bold or italic text.

For plain text, I believe Prince artificially synthesize bold and italics for fonts which does not support bold or italic. Similarly can Prince support the same for SVG content? Is there any workaround to get the bold and italic in the interim for fonts which does not support it?

Printing the text twice with a slight offset can simulate bold, and using a shearing transformation can simulate italics. Personally I think forced italic Chinese text looks rather odd.
