Prince on Debian throws errors

Aefan
Hi,

i try to use prince on a debian 6.0 machine.
I've installed the 64bit dynamic installation from the download page.

The installation was done under root user without any problems. When i call "prince" on console, i've got the message that there is the lib...ttf library missing, so i've installed at through apt-get.

Now when i called "prince" i've got the following message:
/usr/local/lib/prince/bin/prince: error while loading shared libraries: libgif.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've found a libgif, compiled and installed it, but still getting this error.

What can i do to fix this problem?

We don't have a Prince package specifically for Debian 6.0, so it might be easier to install the statically linked generic Linux package which includes the necessary libraries, or try one of the older Ubuntu packages.

Thank you for your reply. The statically linked Linux package works well on debian.

Thanks for your help :)
