Question about PDF/X-1a

Bayanna
Hi Mike,

Please find attached Prince log file which has CMYK images.

I have used CMYK tif images in the document, and I don't know how to check if the generated PDF is "PDF/X-1a" compliance.

Could you please help me?

Regards,
Bayanna

Please note that earlier attached log file generated using Prince XML 7.
Attached log file in this post using Prince XML 9.
In case if you want.

Prince does not generate PDF/X-1a compliant PDF files. For example, they need some internal metadata saying "this is a PDF/X-1a file" which Prince currently does not add.

However, the latest Prince alpha does support PDF/X-3 and PDF/X-4, you just need to run it with --pdf-profile=PDF/X-3 on the command-line.

Thank you very much Mike, great help!

Hi Mike,

Can you please let me know how can I add the metadata to my PDF, if I want PDF/X-1a?

Would be great if you could provide me a few steps/instructions.

Thanks for all your help in this matter.

Prince does not support PDF/X-1a, so you would need to use an external tool, such as Adobe Acrobat.
