I want to do the following at once and automatically:

• First, a table should be rotate. This is possible with

  @page {prince-rotate-body: portrait}

• Second, because the table is large, the table should be fill the page area (completely).
• And third, the table should be well-placed into the text flow without I have to set a manual page-break (before) at the table element. Thus, the aspiration is
  
  • to fill the page areas completely with text
  • and place the table at an advantageous position (which can be differ a little from the notation in the XML file).

Have Prince a mechanism to do these?

Your last requirement is not possible yet, as we currently don't have a mechanism to combine page floats with named pages. We hope to add support for this in the future.
