I had integrated this script -- direct download -- yesterday (without "document write", but "return" [in the script] and "content" [in the css] instead), but in the generated PDF file the values are marked as undefined.

Except from "document.write" -- is there anything else in the script, that Prince cannot interpret?

Prince does not support the lastModified field on the document object.
