Kerning (GPOS) is half-working

thomas
Hello,

I noticed that kerning is not working properly with every font. I did not test it extensively, but here is the result with Adobe's Arno Pro and Linotype's ITC New Baskerville.

Arno has three GPOS items: "kern", "cpsp" (capital spacing) and "size". Baskerville has only "kern". I tried to play with font-variant: prince-opentype(kern), but this did not change anything.

Here, you notice that the kerning for "VAVA..." is correct, but the kerning for "T.T.T..." is not.

I hope this bug reports helps!

Thomas

Edit: on the picture I wrote "GSUB", of course, it's GPOS.

Thanks for the bug report! We like bug reports with images. :)

There are two issues here. Firstly, in Prince 7.0 punctuation breaks up text and interferes with OpenType features like kerning. We're fixing this for 7.1. Secondly, kerning isn't applying with the Arno Pro font; we'll try and fix this too, once we've figured out why it isn't working.

Both of these issues should now be fixed in Prince 7.1, thanks again for letting us know! :)
