Today we have released the second beta version of Prince 5.0, incorporating a number of new features, improvements and bug fixes:

* Added bookmark-target property to control PDF bookmark links.
* Support for xml:id attribute for cross-references and links.
* Support for :first page class on named page groups.
* Support for alternate and media attributes on xml-stylesheet instructions.
* Added --verbose option to list all loaded style sheets, fonts and images.
* Fixed bug with URL resolution in CSS style sheets.
* Fixed bug affecting colors in some GIF images.
* Fixed bug affecting incorrect empty namespace declarations.
* Fixed bug with embedding images inside display: none elements.

The new beta is available for download and any feedback, comments or suggestions would be very welcome!

Michael, the bookmark-target property works very well. Is there any move towards having the bookmark panel in Acrobat open automatically on opening a PDF? -John

We do intend to add a method of controlling this, but it is not in Prince yet. Perhaps after the COM interface is ready
