Support for transparence in TIF files?

Is prince supporting transparency in TIF Files?

In my application i have to replace PNGs with TIFs to get a valid cmyk printable document. Sometimes this PNGs has transparence sections, thats why we use TIFs to substitute. But it seems like prince can't handle these in TIF format, with PNG works fine.

So is there a support for this and I have just the wrong options or anything like this?

Prince supports RGB, RGBA, and CMYK images, but not CMYKA, eg. CMYK plus alpha, or transparency.

Thanks for your quick reply.

So there is no solution for transparency in CMYK Mode? :(

SVG is not an option.

Not yet, although we might be able to add it. Do you have a sample CMYKA image you could email to me? (mikeday@yeslogic.com)

Great! We will include this change in the next maintenance release of Prince 9, due out shortly.

Prince 9 rev 4 has now been released, with support for transparency in TIFF images (RGBA and CMYKA). Thank you for helping us resolve this issue.
