Forum How do I...?

Merge PDF

MiroMichail
Is there a possibility merge two or more already-generated PDF in one?
I saw this topic
https://www.princexml.com/forum/topic/98/merge-two-pdfs-into-one
But it's very old, maybe now you have functionslity for that?
mikeday
No, this still requires a separate tool like pdftk.
pavithra
Do we have any updates on merging two or more pdf's?
mikeday
No, this still requires an external tool. Support for loading PDFs requires a lot of work and we are not doing that this year.
pavithra
Thanks for your response Mike, could you please explain how to merge the space between two sections.

I don't know where that is coming from, are you merging two PDF files?
pavithra
There are two sections and when I use column-count: 2 for each section, I wanted to know why there is a split after each section rather the paragraphs being continuously displayed inline.
mikeday
Perhaps use balanced columns for the first section? Or put them both in the same section?
pavithra
Yes, that's how it is working, but when used individual its creating gap.
pavithra
Is there any option in Princexml for balancing both the columns?

When I used in point 36. page-break-after: right; This got split and moved to another new page. But my expectation is to have both aligned together within a page.

Normally columns should be balanced by default unless you apply "column-fill: auto".
pavithra
Perfect, this worked Mike.
