We are currently using dompdf on our server but it keeps consuming too much memory thus throwing up OOM very frequently. Since we process lots of PDF documents per day on our server, we need to keep the memory usage at a minimum per generation.

What is the RAM and CPU footprint of PrinceXML like? Have you ever done any RAM usage benchmark?

Do you optimize the memory usage of PrinceXML or you just let it hang loose as your concern seems to be about the features and precision of the rendering?

The best way to benchmark is with some representative sample documents; how many pages are your PDF files normally, and do they contain complex tables with many small cells?
