License Type for Serverless Environment

gtolenti
Hello,

We run PrinceXML as a service that runs an AWS Lambda. This environment is essentially serverless in that we drop in our code and AWS provisions a server on demand to process a request then deallocates it when finished. Requests last for 30 seconds or less. Several requests can be handled simultaneously.

In the end we don't know how many servers are being used since it is based on how many requests come in. What type of license do we need for this, is it a commercial service one or some type of server license?

Thanks!

Hello gtolenti,

We are happy to offer CSO licenses to those who want to make Prince part of their service. CSO stands for Commercial Service Offering. Commercial means that you may send the generated documents to your customers yours.

Terms and prices for CSO licenses are worked out on a case-by-case basis. Typically, a CSO license allows you to run Prince on any number of servers, serving one domain name, for an annual fee which includes upgrades and support.
