Sometimes a footnote call will go to the next line instead of staying with the previous text. How can I keep it with the text?

How do I keep a footnote call on the same line as the text?
If there's a space before it (looks like it may, since the second one appears to), I'd remove it. Most folks don't use a space before a footnote call. If you have to keep it due to a house style, a non-breaking space oughta do it.
