Forum How do I...?

Placing hyperlinks (e.g. “Home”, “Next page”) in page-margin boxes?

MPost
My apologies if the following has been asked / answered before; I couldn’t find it or come up with a working solution myself.

Is it possible to place working hyperlinks in page-margin boxes – for example a “Next page” text or icon in @bottom-right-corner or a regular, outgoing hyperlink to a web site?

It is my understanding that the content attribute cannot be used to create HTML (or do something similar using JavaScript), but maybe I’m missing something.

Thank you.

You can have hyperlinks in running elements, I've added an example here:

Adding a generic "next page" link is harder. You can probably achieve the effect with a bunch of running elements, but I don't see an elegant solution. Using the "next" button in the pdf viewer might be easier.

Oh; the man himself! Thank you; I will try this first thing tomorrow. This is also a very well-written page (and highly useful site) – much appreciated.
