I have created a table using borders, but only apply the border to the bottom resulting in thinner, neater looking lines. The problem I have of course is page breaks. The first row on the following page does not have a border on top. This is to be expected but is an undesirable result.
Is there a way to add the top border on a page break involving a table?

One possibility is to use the collapsing border model (border-collapse: collapse) on the table, then adjacent cell borders will collapse into one single border. This should give you the thin border lines you are looking for, without losing any borders at the top or bottom of pages.
