I'm trying to render a pdf using prince 7 and one of the tags used is <em>
However I get a "Unable to open document/ Unhandled mime type "text/plain".

Any insights into how I can get this to resolve?

Thanks

When you remove the tag, does that fix the problem?

Yes it does, But the tag is a part of existing presentation being used in other pages which I should not be modifying....

I am guessing that the <em> means em space or em dash.

Do you have closing marker? Maybe it should be <em/>?

Does your text validate?

<em> stands for emphasis.

Is it an XML or HTML document? Are you running Prince on a local file, or a HTTP URL? Does the document reference images via HTTP URLs?
neeti
Its an xml document and I am trying to convert a local file. Currently there are no images in the document.

Strange, that should work fine. Are you running via the Prince GUI on Windows? Can you email me (mikeday@yeslogic.com) a screenshot showing the error?
