turn off printing of invisible

jim_albright
Working with rtl.

I am getting a small raised triangle to show and print associated with each Arabic number. My experts guess that this is an invisible direction indicator.

Is there some way to say don't print this?

Not sure what you mean, can you email me a snippet of text and the output?

Thanks, the document does seem to have several instances of the Unicode character U+200F RIGHT-TO-LEFT MARK following the Arabic numbers.

This character appears to have a glyph in the font, and is thus showing up as a little triangle in the output.

Prince should probably treat these as non-printing characters, and not try to find glyphs for them even if they are present. I will add this to the roadmap.

We have fixed this in Prince 7.1, which treats bidi marks as non-printing characters.

Thanks. Keep up the good work.
