Prince now supports PDF-X1a:2003, which is great – thanks!

However, one of our service providers requires us to provide documents as PDF-X1a:2001. At present we do this conversion with Acrobat, however it would be great if Prince could support it directly.

I know you're busy with the 11 release right now (can't wait!), but do you think PDF-X1a:2001 support in the near future would be a possibility?
I believe the differences from PDF-X1a:2003 are small, so it shouldn't be a big task – or am I wrong?

Yes, we will add this to Prince 11, due for release shortly.

I had assumed it would not be present in Prince 11 since I am using the 'latest' 20161028 build, which only supports X1a:2003, but good to hear that X1a:2001 support will also be present in the release.

It appears that the only difference between the 2001 and 2003 profile is whether it is based on PDF 1.3 or PDF 1.4, so it's a relatively modest distinction.

Prince 11 is available now and supports both PDF/X-1a:2001 and 2003 profiles.
