We have always used prince for converting html to pdf and sometimes to convert pdf to a png. However, we need to use different tools to combine multiple pdfs / images into a single pdf and to count number of pages in a pdf. It would be most ideal to just use a single tool.

Would it be possible for prince to support combining pdfs and counting number of pages?

Prince cannot not read/combine PDF documents, but there are plenty of tools that can. For example, on linux I use:

pdftk one.pdf two.pdf cat output oneplustwo.pdf

To see the number of pages in a document:

pdfinfo one.pdf
