I don't know how, since the required information is not present in most fonts, but it would be great to be able to use a TeX-like italic correction, to, for example, avoid an italic f hitting a closing roman parenthesis or quotation mark.

Perhaps the support for kerning in the upcoming Prince 7.0 release will enable this, for fonts that support it.
